I went for breakfast with the Corvette club. We were a fairly large group. Everything was set up perfectly. The food was good and the service was excellent. Friendly small town restaurant. Thanks Gwen and staff for a nice breakfast. It was our first time there and we will be back.
This place smells! $7.95 to add a “salad bar” to a meal. The only items for a traditional salad is lettuce and tomato. There is pasta and other weird looking items. I’m not sure why people give this place 5 stars. Perhaps they’ve never been anywhere with actual food, not smelling like urine, and clean. We couldn’t even stay long enough to eat. It smelled that bad. Waste of a drive :(
Such a friendly staff, great food that came out quick, you can tell a lot of the items are made from scratch. Love the down-home feel. Can’t beat the prices. We will definitely be back again!
Been eating at Gwen's for years, and both my sons worked there starting with dishes and moving up to cooking. Great non-fussy and homey food. Lots of breaded/fried stuff, but you can also select healthier options like grilled chicken or fish. Salad bar loaded with lots of local favorites, plus home-made soup (chicken noodle is my favorite). They support their local community, and nobody can beat Gwen's joyous laugh!
