This review is long overdue as I have been going to this salon for four years now and I am one of those that goes brunette to blonde to somewhere in between and very picky about color. Before settling in FLL, I traveled extensively for work, often going to some of the top ranked salons in several major cities and can confidently say that Guys and Dolls ranks with some of the best in the country! Simply The Best. I have been a client at Guys & Dolls for over 3 years and after reading the previous review, I felt compelled to give my opinion. The core staff at Guys & Dolls has remained stable and over the last 2 years they got so busy that they have added several new stylists. I met Rose in May when I got a keratin treatment. Horrrrrible! Stay away. I made an appointment with Michelle but when I got there the owner informed me my appointment was now with Rose. I wanted simple blonde highlights. I even showed her a picture. She ruined my hair!! I had thick orange stripes on my head. There was no ryhme or reason to where she placed them either. Some were in the front by my face while there was only one on the back of my head! In addition the underneath of my hair was dyed ALLL blonde not even highlighted!! Make your appt now. Research & reviews led me to Guys & Dolls; no regrets. 1st appt w/ Dawn who saved my hair. Came in w/ a rainbow of colors that Willy Wonka would've rejected. 1 question & she knew (& I had to admit) that cutting my hair off was a request of desperation. Great color correction & I resumed the love affair w/ my hair. 2nd appt w/ Alethea. Have always only stayed w/ 1 professional, but with only 1 visit under the belt decided to go for it. I wanted to try out a keratin treatment due to my long hair getting easily knotted and frizzy from the hot humid weather. I chose this salon and am really glad i did. My hair is smooth and straight and the knots/tangles are gone. No more frizzyness either. I went to bed and didn't wake up with a tangled mess on my head. I'm very happy I got the treatment and got lucky by choosing this salon. The stylist was Alethea. They also gave me a sweet deal on the keratin shampoo/conditioner.
I have to say they did a great job cutting my hair. The staff is very friendly and professional. I recommend them to all my friend and family. I wish them best in everything.

Alethea listened to our expectation and did a perfect job on each of us, pretty amazing for a first time! Great 1st Impression – I am new to Fort Lauderdale from Cincinnati and had no one to ask about where to go for my hair color. I did not know any neighbors or anyone at work to ask, so with this being 2012, I went online for information. great salon – a friend of mine recommended francisco and i went after going to my previous hair stylist in another state for over 20 years......francisco was really very professional and spent a great deal of time with me....after i left the salon and went home and washed my hair several days later, i realized it was not cut short enough--i hesitated calling back but i did and i was really very very pleased with the response....i was told to come back in and he would cut it shorter until i felt it was just right....he spent ... read more
