He removed a non cancerous 85 pound ovarian tumor from me ! Was a great Dr. He treated me with great respect and his staff is the best. Nothing but gratitude for him.

I saw Dr. Boike in 2017, as a minor, for ovarian cancer. I am a trangender male and him and his staff at the time were blatantly transphobic to me. He asked very uncomfortable and invasive questions about my genitalia, and when I asked for options on hysterotomy he completely shut down all my arguments(family history & prevention of recurrence, transgender healthcare/transition, no desire to have children) in favor of thinking I might "change my mind one day" to which I countered with adoption and foster care, and he still o... read more

My wife was under his care for 4+ years for ovarian cancer. She had three recurrences. After her las round of chemo in May 2021, we asked what was next and he said “well I got her 4 years”. We were told he didn’t want to see her till September, take the summer off, no tests no nothing. Two weeks later she was in the hospital for ten days with kidney problems. Three weeks after that she was in the hospital with gallbladder problems. The cancer had spread to her gallbladder and pancreas. They couldn’t take the gallbladder out ... read more

He was very nice and friendly. He gave me the options and his opinion. I felt like he had all day to answer any questions that I had. I highly recommend him.

He was okay, other than having NO bedside manner at all. Also, after doing a surgery, he needs to come out to the waiting room and talk to the family in person, not on the phone, as my husband is hard of hearing and could only get part of what he was saying.

The aftercare & communication is lacking, 1 appointment, a week after MAJOR surgery only to discover a second surgery to correct a human error is needed along with petechiae covering my face left me devastated and afraid of what else I would find. Contacted the office twice with great concern about a fever post op there was not a return call made by the nurse, Denise. Please, if you need after care at all or you experience complications with surgical procedures, reconsider this choice. Beware.
