I’ve been in my home for about a year after the remodel. These are a few examples of why the review is only two stars. Windows and doors that did not open and close properly, unfinished surfaces, electrical outlets improperly installed, subfloor not connected to joists. These issues have been repaired by another contractor. I found working with Mr. Guthrie difficult. He can be arrogant and a bit condescending. I Still Do Not Recommend. Full interior and exterior remodel of a 650 square foot cottage. Remodel cost with addition of 200 square feet approximately $211.00 per square foot. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Planning to replace some of the work completed at my own expense. For the quality of the work, flooring, drywall, door installation, decking and more, it was expensive. I was expecting much better workmanship.

We had a bad leak from a dishwasher and the entire kitchen was stripped down to subfloor. Guthrie had the ability to rebuild it from flooring to countertops to electrical & plumbing. Our kitchen is small, but looks wonderful thanks to Guthrie. Outstanding work by all concerned and I highly recommend Guthrie for your project. The owner, Michael Guthrie, stands behind his words and you’ll be very pleased with the work.
