My friend , who's visiting from FL, went there last eve & was very disappointed . The pork schnitzel was pounded so thin & extremely dry, red cabbage looked old. The cranberry sauce is about a tablespoon serving. Sorry I suggested it.
We were staying in Newburgh, NY and visiting with friends who traveled from Italy and Pennsylvania. Thursday evening we went as a group. Most of our group ordered the two lobster tail special. Highly recommend. Delicious. Everything was perfect. If in Newburgh, NY again, we would absolutely go to Gus's Tavern again!
My friends and family have been going there for years. The staff and owners are like family. The food is amazing. Always fresh and delicious. The prime rib is huge. The prices are affordable. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Mom & I have been going there for years and always great!! My sis had the goulash and did not like. My honey had the lamb and it was tough, did not like. Mom had the meatloaf and loved, I had the pork w/ kraut and it was divine! I personally LOVE Gus's Tavern!
Can't wait to go back!!The food and service was the absolute Best! �����
Gus's is one of my favorite restaurants in the Hudson Valley. I rarely miss a lunch or dinner when I'm in NYS.
