Went for dinner before a concert and waited over 1.5 hours for the pizza. Had to get it to go so we could eat it in the parking lot. They did comp our drinks so that was appreciated but that’s ridiculous!

Oh my goodness! Julianna, I can’t tell you how sorry I am. That is absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable! Would you mind sending a private message with as much detail as you can remember so I can correct this? Nothing like that should ever happen to a customer, and certainly not in our restaurant. So sad to see this place fading. Bragged about how good the food was, even brought a group of 6. Italian beef x2 was cold, sent back and was returned 15 minutes later nuked and bread was like leather. Dough was not where near as good as in times past, no clue what’s happened there. Server was very inattentive and seems equally as displeased to be there. So sad to have to give this rating after years of great encounters, but this was just terrible, really can’t find a good thing to say.

I was in town on business and staying downtown, so I stumbled from the hotel to the river walk area. I was heading to another place intent on pizza and remembered this (Gusano’s) had pizza and other food, so I stopped in. It was later in the evening, around 8:15 when I got there so it was quieter. I was greeted immediately and they brought my drink. It took a bit to get my calzone, but it was hot and made to order, so no issue there. As I walked up to pay to park near Gusano’s with my 2 young sons, a young man was at the pay box and handed me a receipt, paying for my parking. Turns out he works at Gusano’s, which I didn’t realize until we sat down and had ordered! Our food was hot and delicious!! The server was friendly and checked on us several times! It’s always enjoyable! Kudos to Adrian for paying it forward when we parked! ❤️
