My last appointment I spoke to a provider who was condescending and wouldn’t allow me to advocate for myself or actively participate in my own care. I was told I “just wanted to argue” when I asked a question after disagreeing with with one of them. My provider recommended a second opinion appointment with Dr. Alva where she would meet me at my consult with him with all my medical records. I took the day off of work. She also took the morning off to meet me. His staff canceled less than an hour before because he was "at the hospital." I rescheduled for a month later, and that appointment was today.
