Guru is a collective of San Diego's best artists dedicated to making high quality custom tattoos. With over a dozen tattooers in the line up, our crew specializes in Japanese designs, realistic, illustrative, black and gray, portrait, tribal, dotwork, and traditional Americana types of tattoos. Most of our work is by appointment only, but we do accept walk in tattoos! Feel free to call the shop and check our current availability or to get information about setting up a consultation with one of our artists.

This is best tattoo shop you will find anywhere in Southern California. The quality of art is world class, and the professionalism and cleanliness of both locations is amazing. More importantly, Aaron and the crew go out of their way to make you feel like family when you are there. I've never felt more comfortable in any shop than I do when I get tattooed at Guru. I admired "Sweets" for his blunt personality and drive to get people what they want. This artist truly listens and soaks up every aspect one wants to show in their tattoo. Being my first tattoo I was all over the place and he was able to dial-in and excuted amazing results. It sure is TRUE the more quiet ones you gotta watch! He certainly has the speed and skills! Went to Nahn and he knew exactly what I wanted. He is the best when it comes to flower detail and he did such a great job on my skull piece!
