I went in at 11:10 and was rushed out by 11:15. I attempted to talk to him about what I was dealing with, but he literally cut me off, wouldn't listen, handed me a stack of scripts and sent me on my way without knowing what exactly was going on. How is that even safe?

Talked with Dr Gurnani once so far and though his receptionist was rather cold and impersonal and apparently has unresolved issues herself one thing was clear this practice is all about the health of their wallet than the health of their patients. Then of course without even knowing me he immediately wanted to push pills on me. Hence, like all psychiatric practitioners instead of talking about the issues they have a pill for everything leaving the patient feeling no better than when they came in
Wow reading the one star comments it's clear that people don't understand the working relationship that Dr. G has with his patients. Saw 3 psychiatrists prior who literally just pushed a medicine on me after asking 3 shallow questions. Dr. G got to know all about me really being thorough to understand me before making the first medication recommendation. He made clear the continual feedback he needed from me & he has been taking care of me and my family for 2 years. Extremely trustworthy/caring!
This man had NO BUSINESS treating my mother and prescribed medication that we may not be able to reverse the effects it has caused her. He also NEVER consulted with my father who is the one making the decisions for my mother.
I have dealt with numerous psychiatrists over the years, and never have I found someone who is as wonderful as Dr. Gurnani. In a half hour, this godsend of a man had me figured out and offered me amazing advice and help. Knowing that I have sub-par insurance; he even offered me advice on what to go to counseling for so I didn't waste money (on disability so obviously a huge relief). He's caring, attentively listens and I highly recommend him!
Very understanding and listened with no judgement! Left feeling hopeful!
This Doctor is horrible he should not be treating mental patients or patients with prescription drug problems. Do not go to him his compassion for his patients is NONE.
