He is a great listener and that to me means everything!!! He works with you to address your health concerns. He will give sufficient time to the patient and the family as well! My mother has been a patient with Dr. Guillermo Alonso at his private practice for over 10 years, we are very happy with his medical care, he is very experienced and very easy to comunicate with. Takes the time every time we visit to talk to us one on one. We feel very satisfied with him, a real doctor/patient relationship.
As one of his patients I can honestly say he is one of the most caring physicians I have ever met. Calls back right away without letting his patients wait. Very professional and honest- if honesty and professional treatment is not what your looking for than move on to another physician- that’s all you will get with Dr Alonso.
Horrible experience with this doctor as the internist at Coral Gables Hospital. I spent 16 days at the hospital caring for my mother, left messages with all the nurses and staff to please call me, called once on a Saturday morning, telling me he was told to call me. I asked for his opinion about my mother (at the hospital with a large ulcer on her lower back) he asked me if I had seen the wound, I said yes, and his response was, well then you can have an idea.
