It's been 2 years and I wanted to update my review. If I could provide this clinic with more stars I would. The reception and staff are always so kind and helpful. I have a couple special needs cats and it causes a lot of anxiety however the staff listens compassionately and aids as best they can. Truly amazing humans at this clinic. The Doctor is great , I would have rated 5 out of 5 , however, the front desk staff that was there during pick up were insolent. I work in the service industry and just a quick " hello, we will be right with you, thank you", goes a long way. You just don't purposely ignore people walking into your establishment.
This year had a horrible experience where the Dr Hammond stopped my cats medication because I couldn't pay for all the tests they wanted to have done at the same time. Made me pay my whole paycheck. They care more about money than your pets. And every time you go they add on a $20 fee on top of the money for medication saying it is a pharmacy fee.
I am a lifer of Scarborough and have had pets all my life. I have been very put off with our veterinarian choices over the past few years so I thought I would try Gilcrest Cat Hospital for my old boy Forrest. To say I was impressed on every level is an understatement. The Doctor, Vet Tech., front Desk and home critters were the kindest most professional staff I've met in forever.
