They hardly answer the phone and do not know the protocol for closing on a home. They go one step at a time as requested by the underwriters. Until the underwriters ask for something they have no idea it needs to be done. No one knew my purchase would require the well water to be tested until after my 5th missed closing date. They refuse biweekly or extra payments and send out tons of junk and fraudulent mail. I can not wait to refinance and get away from these people
Please do yourself a favor and do not use Guild Mortgage. Our buyers tried to use Guild to purchase our house and because of the incompetence, dishonesty, and pure laziness the sale almost didn’t happen. The only reason the sale was accomplished was because the buyers ended up going with a different lending company. Just with this one poorly executed attempt at funding the buyers it almost screwed up the purchase of 4 houses because of the chain reaction.
