Guild has been a complete nightmare to deal with. The web portal is completely non-functional, making a payment over the phone has been ridiculously difficult, and customer service has been a complete joke. Guild serviced my mortgage for 9 years. They were a disaster from the get go. Their website is crap. Simple stuff like setting up or cancelling auto pay was always such a hassle. This is a terrible company, and I would recommend staying away.

If you're passionate about collateralized debt obligations and multi-tranche bonds, then you will love touring this fantastic mortgage factory. Be sure to check out the subterranean lair, which is quite spacious, featuring the thousands of little gnomes that hand craft each debt security. Beware of the mountain demon, though, because if you're the 12th male visitor of the day, it'll take on the guise of a horse and kill you with its breath.

I used Guild Mortgage in 2015 to purchase my first home. Until recently, I hadn't heard from anyone associated with the company in years. Out of nowhere, I began receiving unsolicited marketing emails from a mortgage broker named Mark Snow. I do not know this person. I have never met him, never spoken with him, and he had absolutely no involvement in my mortgage. Based on where I purchased my home, it doesn't even appear that he serviced my area. Horrible horrible experience. Pre-approved for loan. Very un responsive people, found a home I inquired about where my loan was and I was told I was not approved. Why the Pre-approved letter then folks. What a rotten way to do business.

The loan officer I was working with, Alec Norets is literally the most unprofessional person I've every worked with in the mortgage industry. I have tier 1 credit and an excellent income and it has now been 3 weeks since I applied for a mortgage loan and Alec has apparently decided to ghost me. He initially promised we would have an answer for me in 72 hours and now 3 weeks later, he doesn't reply to my emails or texts.
