I transferred to Lydia’s care in the last trimester of my pregnancy from an Omaha OBGYN and it was the best decision I made during my pregnancy. She allowed me to trust my gut leading up to a 41 week + 1 day labor while providing very knowledgeable guidance. My labor was an empowering experience that I will never forget, and I believe I owe that to the midwifery care that I received from Lydia and Guiding Hands.
Lydia is the best!!! I wouldn't have made it through my version or my c-section without her. She is so supportive and you can tell she really cares. I really can't say enough good things about her!! If I decide to have more children I will definitely come back to Lydia!!
My experience with Guiding Hands is one I will carry on forever. I felt safe, strong, loved and supported through both of my pregnancies and deliveries with Jenda. Having an unplanned c-section with my first and a successful VBAC with my second, I felt confident in Jenda's guidance throughout both births. Jenda truly is one of a kind and will forever be a part of my children's birth stories.
Excellent care and very knowledgeable in their health training. Guiding hands is exactly what they provide. Truly understanding the whole person through the amazing process of bring life into this world is essential for a healthy mom and baby. Having them here at Heartland Family First is a blessing. My husband and I searched for someone that would help us prepare for our little one. We were looking for someone to support our desires for everything to be as natural as possible but yet also teach/lead us because she's the professional, I'm new at this! ;) Lydia was AMAZING!! I am so thankful that I found Lydia! She honestly feels more like a friend than a doctor! She took the time throughout my pregnancy to really get to know my husband and me. I love the personal, unrushed vibe in the office. All of the nurses were so amazing with that, too. I feel like I was surrounded by people who genuinely cared about me. I could not have had the amazing birth experience that i did without Lydia. She was so intuitive, hands on, and calming through the whole birth. We love Guiding Hands!
I LOVE Jenda and couldn't feel more at home with any other provider. 17+ years ago, my mom came across Jenda as a better alternative to the ridiculously busy gynecologist office she had always gone to. When I became pregnant with my first baby, my mom knew Jenda would be a perfect fit for me.
