I am a 92 year old patient I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for 30+years and have pain in my knees and shoulders and surgery was not recommended. I was referred to Dr. Joe Guettler for shots to relieve the pain in the shoulders. The shots have given me relief for 8 months. He deserves the 5-Stars Rating for his care,and treatment would highly recommend him.
So far, have had a great surgical outcome and working with Dr. Guettler has been a absolute pleasure.
When I injured my right shoulder, I was told that Dr. Guettler was the best! From the moment I entered his waiting room and was greeted by his staff, I was impressed. They made me feel comfortable in every way. Dr. Guettler was very informative and supportive. He addressed my pain and let me know that he would fix the injury. My surgical experience was perfect. I went to therapy as directed, and each post-op visit with Dr. Guettler was a good experience. I am ready to return to work soon.

This recent exam and surgery was my second encounter with Dr. G. Dr. Guettler performed surgery on my left shoulder approximately 3 years earlier. He absolutely gained my confidence. I have been with Henry Ford for over 30 years and yet I came to Dr. Guettler for care to my shoulders. The support I received from other elements of his office; esp. Operations Manager, was most appreciated.
Everything about this office and doctor is great. There is a bit of a wait time to get an appointment, but no more so than other orthopedic offices I've seen (and I've seen quite a few lately between my son and I). This physician in particular - I've never seen such a HAPPY doctor in all the years I've been going to see them!!!
Dr. Guettler performed 2 procedres at once on my knee. He repaired a torn ACL and damaged cartilage that was causing a lot of pain under the knee cap. I consulted with a number of doctors however I felt the most comfortable with Dr. Guettler. He is very experienced in cartilage repair and new exactly the type of procedure I needed. I am now a year out of surgery and my knee feels great. I am slowly getting into the types of activities I was doing before the surgery. Thank you Dr. Guettler.
I have seen Dr. Guettler over the past 5 yrs for knee and shoulder problems.I have always received excellent care and advise! After conservative treatment for all my problems, I did have R shoulder arthroscopy with SLAP repair 2013, and more recently a L shoulder arthroscopy (Feb 2016). I recommend Dr. Guettler to all my family and friends. I work in the OR and work with many different Orthopedic surgeons, Dr. Guettler is a good surgeon and he really cares about his patients and their recovery!
Drive 90 mins when my local Ortho doc referred me o Dr Guettler for my hockey related knee injury. He got me back on my feet faster than expected. Great Doctor! Would recommend him for sports and ortho related problems.
