Did you know you can look up official infection rates reported by each hospital in Ontario, sure that only counts cases of infections related to the hospital that are documented enough that must be acknowledged but it is interesting to know anyways.

EDIT!!! As much as I had two very positive birthing experiences with this hospital and rated 5 stars for both occasions, I have to downgrade in regard to the emergency department. After my 4 year old and I waited to be seen for 12 hours , I can no longer say how great this hospital is. I had a very sick child, and due to only having one Doctor on, we waited no joke, 9pm to 9 am. It was horrendous. I don't know why on earth there is only one Dr. It is absolutely ridiculous. Guelph General’s mental health care is tied into Homewood, but families should know the truth patients in crisis are moved around, medicated, and discharged with little regard for safety or dignity. My loved one was admitted here during a serious crisis. Family and friends raised urgent warnings that discharge would be life threatening we were brushed off with reassurances that “psychiatrists will assess.” That so called assessment ignored everything we told them. Gave birth at Guelph General in Jan 2025. Had a very positive labour experience. The nurses, the on duty doctor - Dr Glen Scott, all had exceptional bedside manners and professional. I’m of Caribbean descent - BajanCanadian and felt very cared for. Thank you!!!
