The best authentic Mexican food on the planet!
Recently I was able to enjoy a very nice evening at Guedo’s Cantina Grille. Just a small mexican restaurante, Guedo’s has a very unique and authentic atmosphere. It is an adobe building painted with bold colors, and there are chairs and tables outside. To walk into the building, there is a doorway covered by a cloth. Guedos still the best taco in town It has been 3 years since my last visit.-used to be a regular - weekly for years. Now I'm out of state. Tues nite was everything I had been anticipating. The food was fresh and delicious. Guedo greeted and welcomed us.The prices are higher, but still well worth it. Guedo's taco isn't just a taco, it is a work of art! I would much rather have my 3 chicken tacos with cheese and avocado and pay $12 than go anywhere else in town.
My favorite – this is my 2nd favorite restaurant on the planet. I love the stuffed cheese crisp. Lucky for me my girlfriend likes to spoil me and usually takes me once or twice a month. Guedo has some secret family recipe. I don't know what it is but its unique I have never found it any where else. I love the green salsa and the sauce he uses in his chicken. but my favorite is his beef. There is only one restaurant I like better and its in NYC. good thing I moved back to phoenix.
Authentic Mexican Beach tacos – Fantastic food. I regular winning of "best tacos in Phoenic" over the past 20 plus years with good reason. Simple beach taco stand fare. Beef, Chicken, and Pork marinated in fruit juice and spices grilled over an open flame. Then chopped into small chunks. The primary menu item is tacos. Not about the taco's anymore!! It used to be the place to go for great tasting tacos with your family...now it has turned into a bar or "cantina" as he calls it. The food is no longer the attraction. Not to mention the prices have gone up immensely. Not my choice anymore for family dining! Even Rubio's is far better tasting than his so called authentic food. Sorry, but it's not what it used to be.....
The Best! We love Guedo's Taco Shop. The food is always fresh and great tasting. They don't take credit cards, so bring plenty of cash. You will go back for seconds. They have a fresh salsa bar too!
You got to go! Excellent tacos, taco bar with all the trimmings is a must. Margueritas are fantastic. The prices are very reasonable. Guedo's has been there forever! Take the time and sit outside on a nice night. I highly recommend.
