My husband and I used GSF mortgage to purchase a house recently. We had started with the intention of using their one time close construction program, but ran into too many issues with the builder to proceed. We paused the process and then found a goregous new home that we wouldnt have been able to replicate. We were able to pick up where we left off with GSF mortgage and complete our closing in 30 days. I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB once my refinance is completely resolved (my previous lender's records show that the mortgage hasn't been funded one week after closing). Communication was great and responsive, but went dark once I provided all of the required information (it made me feel like GSF was a scam, it hasn't been too far off. The COO of GSF reached out to this borrower personally to address the concerns in the complaint. We try to make every borrower's experience a pleasant one as we know the process of financing a home can be stressful. After speaking with the borrower we identified his concerns and resolved the issue to his satisfaction.
The loan originator was very easy to work with. However the loan processor as well as the underwriting staff have been nothing but a thorn in my side from the very beginning. Loan processor was extremely arrogant and rude the one time I was able to reach him. The underwriting staff is the slowest moving entity I've ever dealt with. Always one lame excuse or another for not proceeding in a timely manner. I would strongly advise any one to avoid doing business with this company!

GSF apologizes if the customers experience while working with us was not exceptional. Our company prides itself on providing excellent customer service and helping a borrower understand their entire process. I spoke with the borrower on the phone the day this was written and offered many solutions to the concerns. There were no specific issues I could address. GSF hopes that we would be given another opportunity with the customer.
worst company ever beware, they keep you outta the loop on whats going on. Kept raising the interest rate and then got stories on why. Made me come up with more money for closing than what i was told 2hrs before closing or I couldn't have the house after already spending 4k. Promised things that weren't true and caused a lot of stress and turmoil for me, and I moved into this house completely broke and couldn't buy the appliances i needed and had to live out of a cooler till i begged for family to help buy me a frig. There are many items that go into approved a loan and what a customer qualifies for. All documentation is presented early in the loan process, again when the loan is locked and right before closing. Many opportunities to ask questions and change how a customer may want to proceed. GSF apologizes if the customer felt they weren't being communicated with. We are happy that we were able to have another customer get their dream of owning a home come true.
I used GSF Mortgage to finance my home with a VA loan. They had the best rate and perks available at the time. My point of contact was Dennis P***** and he was absolutely fantastic. Very well organized and easy to work with. I used esign for pretty much everything which made this a completely painless process. Five Stars.
My wife and I went into a meeting with senior loan officer. We were told that we were approve for a no money down and other offers. My wife and I decided to do the no money down and were very excited for the great news. Three weeks into looking for our first home, we got an email stating that we were not approve for the "No" money down and we need to come up 3.5% down. My wife and I were very heart broken.
