All I can say after reading these reviews is how happy I was to get away from this company when we did. We had a construction to perm type of mortgage and in this case, any unused portion ($23,000), gets applied toward the principal at the time the loan becomes perm. Guess what could not be found or accounted for?.........$23,000! It took months of contacting one person after another before it was located and applied. Makes one wonder how many times this goes unnoticed. If you are still with GSF, stay frosty and make other a... read more

Business response:

Construction was completed on the home and loan was purchased on 9/8/20. On 9/10/20 the money was wired to Go Mortgage's servicer to apply the money as a principal reduction. The process of setting up a loan after being purchased and applying the money can take up to 60 days to show on a borrowers account. In this case it was about 45 days. There was communication with the borrower in September regarding the funds and when they would be applied. Go Mortgage is sorry that the borrower felt this took longer than it should have... read more

DO NOT under any circumstances use this company for your mortgage company. I would give them a "0" rating but that is not an option. They have put me through absolute hell since the pandemic started and my mortgage went on forbearance in April 2020. I recently found a job in my field so I will be switching mortgage companies when I have enough paystubs to do so and I don’t even care if I pay a higher interest rate – I just want to be rid of this incompetent company. Their representatives are not thoroughly trained and cannot... read more

Business response:

GSF worked with this borrower extensively through the pandemic and provided a forbearance plan and extending the plan to help her through the pandemic and the loss of her job. There was a discrepancy with some monies being applied to the loan as GSF received funds from the state on the borrowers behalf an almost the exact amount from the borrower. Once that was identified the account was corrected. With regards to the 1098 and the amount reporting GSF unfortunately cannot report the funds the state provided on the borrower's... read more

Very poor system and accounting practices, criminal quite frankly. We have spent well over 40 hours trying to get someone to correct thier system error regarding our payment history to no avail. They have taken our $ and failed to apply it to our payment history assessing late fees and sending harrassment letters along with phone calls.

Poor customer service as a mortgage servicing company. They do not offer any third party integration, so you will have difficulty linking your mortgage to your personal financing applications like Mint, Personal Capital, etc. Not very friendly or accessible customer service either. I've worked with several other mortgage service companies like Penny Mac and had much better experiences.

Business response:

GSF's servicing department offers numerous options for making payments either online, automatic withdrawal, pay by phone and some others. We are sorry that the applications the borrower mentioned are not an option.

They would get 0 Stars if that was an option. Our refinance mortgage loan, which the loan adviser stated would be simple and easy, due to our great credit and great equity in the home, took over 60 days. Interest Rate Lock had to be extended twice, and not due to us. We always quickly provided any requested item or document immediately. I was the one who contacted the Loan Adviser just before the initial 45 Interest Rate Lock Period was due to expire. She advised me that due to high volume of loan requests, she was extending... read more

Business response:

GSF strives to ensure that all customers receive the best service while handling their loan. Unfortunately with interest rates being the lowest in history and covid this all played a part in contributing to the length of time it took to close loans. GSF paid for a rate extension due to this and reduced the cost of the second extension to the borrower. With the interest rate the borrower received and the fees being low we provided the best loan to the borrower that was available.

Stay away from GSF!! Online payment is unavailable, "free automated phone payment" won't recognize my loan number, (I'm told later "free" is actually a $2 fee) so then the only way to make a payment would be calling a representative and getting charged $9... clearly I dont trust sending a check in the mail since they can't even recognize my loan number. This company is a scam, what they are doing is theft by deception, and there's nothing I can do about it except let everyone know to stay away. Online tech support goes unans... read more

They are a terrible company Brian and Dana have not responded once with the Realtors and there have been multiple requests we have extended once and now they want to extend another month. We gave them what they need this morning and they have not called us back in 8 hours do not use them

Business response:

GSF works hard to make sure every customer is satisfied and timelines are met. There are circumstances at times that are out of our control and during COVID delays are increasing due to work situations. It is important to us that responding to questions or inquiries happens in a reasonable timeframe. If we did not meet the customers expectations we apologize.

Worst mistake Ever going with GSF. I had my dream house ready for purchase and GSF destroyed my dream. Imposter BRYON and his accomplice DANA. Buyer beware!!!! This company acts like their going to get you a loan for a great rate. ITS A LIE!!! Every time they talk to you they send you something new to sign. What a coincidence!!!! as soon as you call they need you to sign a new paper. SCAM Don't give this company any information!!!!
