I just finished the initial work on my first food plot to plant this fall. I spread #4000 of pellitized lime on the 37K sq. foot area and plowed it in less than 6 hours. Not bad for nearly an acre. The Groundhog Max was great to work with , even on this dog nasty West Virginia red clay. I highly recommend the Groundhog Max to my friends and 2 guys have actually bought one for themselves!
Well worth the money!! Perfect for breaking the top 1-2" all you need for most seed. If you are cutting through grass and weeds it'll take you a lot longer to get straight dirt. Spent good money on pull behind tillers. This is way faster!! Also make sure your 2" receiver is good quality. Pretty abusive on it.
This thing works great. If you have an ATV and don't have a tractor, this will turn up your dirt.
Just installed today on a '97 Honda 300 Fourtrax 4x2. I now know why a 4x4 would be better. But with more time and patience i think it will work out. Been wanting one for several years. Christmas gift yhis year. Had to modify.

AWESOME...First time user, yesterday... Does what they advertise and then some. Accomplished it all with a 2×4 - 250 atv, I can see where a 4×4 atv would be better, but it can be done with a 2×4 atv. Just have to be a little less aggressive on the disc setting to start and just have fun. Easiest FOOD PLOTS we have ever put in. MANY THANX TO THE FOLKS AT GROUNDHOG MAX
Just plowed up about a 1/4 acre with it. Worked very well.
