This is my second season using the Ground Hog Max with my John Deere Gator 550 UTV. Works great with the right soil moisture. Too wet, it will clog, as I guess any disc would. This product can take some serious hits on rocks and shows no damage. I have had great results with this product and my Gator. I have no experience with any other type of disc or ATV/UTV. Well worth the cost and totally satisfied with this product.
I could not be more disspointed. I carried a jack with me to set the plow dept safely however do not use it on a 4 wheeler. I had a factory installed 2 inch reciever on my Yamaha 550. It fit perfectly. However it did nothing but clog the disc where every 15 mins I had to get a shovel and clean out the cloggs of mud that was wedged between disks. Also after i noticed that my hitch was loose I stopped to repair- but the entire frame of my bike broke off that was holding rhe hitch. If your gonna use one- pull it with a F150
I purchased the Groundhog max last year. This is the second season that I have used it to plant plots in Alabama clay. It works exceptionally well and I am beyond satisfied with the quality construction & performance
Not satisfied at all will not do anything like I expected if the ground is the least bit hard..I have put it on every setting from shallow to deep cut and with the ground that is hard or packed really good it won't do anything but hey if you got some ground that's been tilled before of really soft it will work decent...Waist of my money!!
Great product. Was able to put food plots in faster, easier and in places the tractor and disc just won't go. Follow the instructions, use a little common sense along with a heavy receiver and you are in business.
Very very well built, you see it on YouTube at work and people using it but when I got it I was shocked at how heavy and just well built it was and very user friendly. I was using a Polaris 330 Magnum 2 wheel drive and it did just fine. I think a lot of people with 2 wheel drive quads try and disc to deep there first pass threw you will learn as I did can't do that on the 2 wheel drives. I did a half acre and only took me 30-40 mins to get a good seed bed.
