Really cozy place for coffee and pastries/sandwiches and everything made on the premises. A unique place to visit, not a chain shop. Friendly staff, prompt and courteous. Been stopping there for coffee for years before playing golf up the street at Greendale. Free Wifi? Of course!
We are so happy to have Grounded nearby! Having visited regularly since its opening, we have always appreciated the quality of the food and drinks. Plus, the staff seeks to get to know customers and shows consideration to those with differing abilities. It is a wonderful and welcoming gathering place.

I’ve been going to this place for six years and it’s always been a favorite. Friendly service, delicious pastries made from scratch (great lunch items too!), and top-level drinks.

Grounded is my very favorite cafe in the DC area. The staff is the friendliest, the pastries the most delicious, the beverage selection exceptional, and the atmosphere perfect. Their homemade soups, salads, and sandwiches are also tasty. It's extremely family friendly, plus it's a great place to meet friends for breakfast, lunch, or a treat. Grounded does not disappoint (unless you go there on a Monday, the only day of the week that they're closed!).
