RecommendedI absolutely LOVE Grouchy John’s. In the last 6 years that I’ve been going there, I’ve honestly NEVER had a bad experience. The staff is always awesome. I made the terrible decision to give DBros a shot on my way to work one day and a bland coffee and a frozen prepackaged pastry makes me never want to do that ever again. I’ll stick with Grouchy John’s and delicious pastries from Carls! I love small businesses that support each other! ❤️ ☕️ ❤️

Even with all the super cool coffee shops in Capitola/Soquel/Santa Cruz, GJ's just has my heart! If you are down for pop culture! Creative vibe... good coffee and good people... yup that's the place!
Went through the drive thru on my birthday. Received free birthday coffee. No one asked for ID or anything. I just love that they trusted me. Even though there are many coffee shops between my house and Grouchy John's, I will still go the extra mile to their shop because the service is excellent and the coffee is great!
