With legends like Frank Sinatra and Robert De Niro having frequented this place, Grotta has always been one of the most popular Italian restaurants in the neighborhood. The 'Blue Grotto' disappeared for six years since its opening over a century ago, however it reopened with renewed vigor again to much fanfare. The multi-level eatery still retains some historic features like the marble and mosaic floors; and its vintage mahogany bar and wine cave stack about 1,600 bottles.

The service at this place sucked. Seated immediately and then completely ignored. Not even water. Went across the street. Good food, good service.
DON'T EAT HERE!!!! Worst "Italian" food ever!!! Had to give it 1 star wish I could give it -5 but whatever. Please don't even do it to yourself.
Always a great place for lunch especially love the tiramisu
