With legends like Frank Sinatra and Robert De Niro having frequented this place, Grotta has always been one of the most popular Italian restaurants in the neighborhood. The 'Blue Grotto' disappeared for six years since its opening over a century ago, however it reopened with renewed vigor again to much fanfare. The multi-level eatery still retains some historic features like the marble and mosaic floors; and its vintage mahogany bar and wine cave stack about 1,600 bottles.

We thought the food was fabulous. Very fresh and tasty. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive as well. We would come back. Thank you Grotta Azzurra for the nice atmosphere and food!
