RecommendedDr. Heinser and the NP's are excellent, LOVE THE MEDICAL STAFF. Most of the staff is excellent. However, today (July 9 - 2019) the young woman who is responsible for answering phones was absurdly rude. I was disgusted by her behavior and her lack of bedside manner or in general nicety. If you hate your life and your job find a new one, don't take it out on patients. You've left an ugly stain on an otherwise stellar group.
The doctors are competent, however they let nurse practitioners take over patient care that are way beyond THEIR level of competence. My mother, who had lung cancer surgery, was a patient of Dr. Goodman. When she developed extreme back pain 6 months after having half of her lung removed she was assigned to Naomi, an officious incompetent nurse practioner, who decided that the pain was caused by scoliosis. I've been trying to make an appointment over at Groton Medical Associates but I am being denied medical treatment from them because I have United Health Care Insurance. They are contracted by them but they will not accept NEW patients who have that insurance. The reason they gave me was they have billing issues with United Health Care. So, I am being denied health care because they have billing issue! Unacceptable! I am local to them as well. Unbelievable!!!
Very impressed with the care I have receive here since I became a patient there a few years ago when my former PCP was unable to give me a referrals to my Cardiologist any more. I love my doctor here....he takes the time with you and never makes you feel rushed, gets to the problem and takes care of it. I have NEVER had to wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room!!!
