I ordered 20 bd ft of mixed 4x4 and 8x4 Holly from these folks. I told them, I could live with some knots, cupping and warping, but I wanted "White" holly, not gray streaked or speckled gray. Well, it arrived and was severly gray streaked and speckled. I thought it might have just been on the surface, so, when I went to use it 3 months later, I discovered it was gray thoughout.
