Food is unbelievable. Can't beat the river view.
The best food in Texas! Love the view and the atmosphere. You don't even notice that there isn't a/c.

Amazing worth the wait! The restaurant itself is an jaw dropping with its beauty & history, the ambiance of it is one of a kind, the service is out of this world.
We always enjoy our meals at the Gristmill. Whether it's a chicken fried steak, catfish or their massive beer battered onion rings -- it's all good. Wash it down with a cold Shiner and enjoy the river view from one of their many patio perches. Don't forget to go visit Gruene Hall next door!
