It was nice and good but we eat outside on the picnic table and the Flies were pretty bad but the food was good.

The food was delicious, the service prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere so beautiful and peaceful. We are from Missouri, and this is our second time visiting this restaurant. We drove an hour just to come here for dinner. We hope to come back again sometime.

The view is spectacular and the food is delicious. Gruene is beautiful to shop it small town store, it is worth the drive. It does not disappoint.
Weekend of Gruene Wine and Music Festival and we walked up shortly after 1:00pm for a table for 5. We were seated immediately and as usual, food, drinks, and service were excellent. Always a treat to go to the Gristmill. p.s.-- Don't let your cravings over-rule common sense---24 onion rings for 5 people is too much! Especially Gristmill Onion Rings. They are HUGE! Thank goodness for a "to go" box...
We waited over 45 minutes for a table but the entrainment and atmosphere was perfect while sipping on a glass of wine. So glad we waited, the food and service was outstanding!
