Dr. Grishkan performed my 4th hernia surgery in December of 2016 - the first was as an infant and the last three were as an adult. At the first examination, he outlined the problems I had been having without me having to tell him. After surgery, he explained in great detail the problems with the prior two surgeries and why I had been having the problems I had. Ten months later, I am back to lifting weights equal to what I did before surgery without all the pain I used to experience. Thanks!

My entire experience with Dr. Grischkan and the Hernia Center of Ohio was excellent--from start to finish. I'm really happy I went to a super-specialist in hernia repair. This sentiment was especially strong just before the procedure started, when I was about to go under the anesthetic, and then afterwards during recovery. Dr. Grischkan is a knowledgeable pro with vast experience whom you can trust will know what to do when he opens you up. Their recovery plan, walking 4 hours a day, is great.

Had an exceptionally large inguinal hernia which had me bedridden from the pain. I researched a number of doctors and procedures, knowing that the mesh normally used in repairing hernias fails resulting in lawsuits and recurring surgeries. After reading about Dr. Grischkan's experience (over 20,000 hernia surgeries) and his tremendous success ratio, and the special mesh he used in his modified shouldice method, he was the choice for me. Surgery was a big success, quick & short recovery. A+++

I had a right inguinal hernia repair in 2009. I did all of my research, looking at techniques, materials, recovery rates and failure rates. Only Dr. Grischkan's Modified Shouldice Technique checked all of the boxes. No mesh, only the top-rated surgical Gore-Tex patch. Sworn testimonials for 2 to 4 days of post-op recovery. No reports of failures; only praise from people who had their failures corrected.. My outcome was so great, I had him fix the other side 2 weeks ago. Another Success!

I highly recommend Dr. Grischkan for hernia surgery. Having researched various techniques, his Modified Shouldice approach is the best. The surgery went well as expected. The combination of IV/local anesthesia is wonderful. There is no post-anesthesia nausea or "hangover". No prescription pain medication was needed; I took ibuprofen for two days to reduce inflammation and minor discomfort. I suggest that anyone facing hernia surgery consult Dr. Grischkan before committing to a procedure.

Dr. Grischkan was methodical in his approach to correct my hernia. After one day I was walking my dog un assisted and had little to no pain from the procedure. His office staff was extremely professional, and fees were reasonable for surgery performed.

Was recommended to Dr. Grischkan by a friend. Had a hernia repaired ten years ago. The results achieved by Dr. Grischkan were much more favorable than my earlier experience. I was able to resume daily activities three days post op. Have no reservations recommending Dr. Grischkan.
