My husband and I just happened to be passing through from Pheasant Hunting in South Dakota and decided to stay at the Best Western in Grinnell. They told us there was a great Steakhouse next door. Did not realize how unique it was untill we walked in the door. To actually walk over to a glass cooler and pick out the steak you want and then put them on an open grill and cook them ourselves! The waitress was terrific...gave us a lot of great advice! Terrific food!
Had the small ribeye had them cook it,took for ever when it finally arrived it was just warm!! Pan fried what a ripoff. NEVER AGAIN
Salad bar was ok. No selection of steaks in the case. Overpriced for the cut and quality of food. Ridiculous when a child and adult share a meal to have to pay the high price for an extra potato since kids don't eat hardly any salad.
I love being able to grill m own on the indoor charcoal grill..
Salad bar average and overpriced. Extra charge for thin slice of tomato and limp piece of lettuce for my tenderloin seemed ridiculous, especially since I had paid for the salad bar. Should have gotten those items there had I realized there was an extra charge. Tenderloin was okay, but not award winning.
Excellent restaurant. The wait staff were sweet and efficient. Food very good.
