Horrible experience don’t go there
Before the fiasco these past few days, we would have gladly recommended this business. We had been customers of theirs since it opened in Grimes and had 4 cars serviced there. Friday 8/17 we took our Prius to Grimes Tire for an oil change, when we picked up the car and paid for the oil change, they recommended we get new tires which they would have to order. I was a first time customer and I can not say enough about the amazing service I received today. Brandon kept me well informed and understanding everything that I was needing fixed. I loved the notification and the photos. Had a issue with my power seat after services were finished and all of the staff was amazing to assist me with getting it fixed. I will be returning!
I had been a repeat customer until today. I had an appt to have my car diagnosed for where an oil leak is coming from. When I arrived, I was told they may not get to my car because of an “emergency work order”. By 5:15pm still no call so I ended up picking my car up. I will not be returning there at all for anything, even a simple oil change. As a customer, I don’t like to hear that my business is less important than someone else’s. I don’t care how emergency it was. You lost a customer today because of this poor practice.
My husband got his oil change here and later we saw several oil spots on our new driveway. We took the truck into our trusted mechanic ($99 later) and found out the oil filter wasn't tightened. We called mgr at Grimes Tire & Auto and he wanted to give us 1 free oil change, we ended up agreeing with 2 free oil changes. Still isn't enough to justify the time, money and now mess in our new driveway.
Nice place and they treat you very good. The cost are very reasonable .
I have a hectic schedule and they're always able to get me in and work around it. I've come in a few times with emergencies and they were able to stop & assess it to see if my car was safe to drive until they were free. Having an older car that I plan on driving to the end also means poor Kevin is on my speed dial and he's always able eleviate the situation.
Terrible business practice. I do not recommend. Will end up costing you more in the long run. Go somewhere else.
