Had friends from out of town, made a reservation - they gave us the front window and delicious food! Friends thought it was perfect! And cannot wait to come back!!

On Thursday I had requested a proposal for my wedding in 3 months and was told that there were openings available. We received the prices and called them on Monday to discuss and as soon as we brought up wanting to work on the prices the owner became irritated and I was immediately told that there were no longer any availabilities. Darrin was not willing to work with us on anything and threw our business out the door as soon as we started questioning anything. However, it became obvious to us that we were immediately being bullied (issues with pricing, complete menu changes, questioning all polices and formats)... In all honesty, without receiving any kind of deposit from you and the fact that as much as you choose us, we must also choose you. An absolute legend. I live in Cleveland, and have been visiting charlevoix for over 30 years, my mother for 50 years, and my grandfather for longer. They all have been going to grey gables for decades. This place NEVER disappoints. The mushroom bisque would be the best thing on the menu if it wasn't for the killer prime rib they serve. Talk about consistency. It's been the same amazing meal for 30 years. They know how to mix drinks too. 5 stars everytime.
