I believe in educating patients and allowing them to participate in making decisions in how they would like to be treated. One size does not fit all.

Visit with Dr. McCoy for raised PSA and BPH. He said “you don’t have cancer but we need to biopsy to be sure.” Transrectal biopsy put feces in my prostate. Many infections and passing blood clots since then. Now have BPH and prostatitis and tripled PSA score. As I was leaving he said “that’s what you get for having a large prostate.”
I had a horrendous visit with Dr. Mccoy. He walked in after an hour and a half and immediately yelled at me to take my mask off. Said I was “disgusting” and he would not help me. I had on a silly smiling mask that all the staff got a kick out of. He forced me to take my mask off. I wonder if this was against the law in Tualatin at the time. There was absolutely no talk about any treatment, my pain, what to do next, etc.. NOTHING Note this “doctor” has another amazing talent. He can take one look at a photo and know exactly h... read more
One of the worst medical experiences ever. Didn’t listen to me, arrogant to an absurd extreme, diagnosis that didn’t match my symptoms. Good that he’s retiring...
I found Dr. McCoy to be excellent and easy to talk to. I had been warned by my Family Practice doctor who referred me that Dr. McCoy had poor "bedside manners" but was an excellent doctor. I was surprised to see how comfortable it was to discuss prostate cancer issues and options with him. He is very good.

I had on a silly smiling mask that all the staff got a kick out of. Nothing rude, just a big smile with lots of teeth which brought a smile to many of the staff. He forced me to take my mask off in a place where sick people congregate. If I g... read more

It was a costly mistake to place trust in this Doctor. He performed an incorrect procedure and his office did nothing to alleviate the issue. They took no responsibility for the failure of their actions and billed insurance an exorbitant amount comparatively, leaving me with a large co-insurance burden. I was promised an insurance consultation which I did not get. Nor was I treated by any person higher than a MA to alleviate complications from this procedure he performed.
