My 7-year old allowed her dentist to fix two small cavities in her molars yesterday. A year ago, her intense anxiety–which was created by insensitive care practices by former providers–would have prevented this. We switched to Dr. Joe and Dr. Nick a year ago, and are slowly unraveling my child's fear as the good experiences mount. We drive 1.5 hrs to them from northern WI, but knowing my kid will be treated like a whole person with agency is more than worth the trip.
