Greenwich woods is a frustrating place. There is no transparency as to who is in charge, or how decisions are made. As a family advocate, I got the total run-around from director, doctor, nurses. very low expectations where rehab goals are concerned for patients. willingness to let patients languish in wheelchairs for hours on end. inattention to matters of personal dignity. This facility is just about making money and does not care about its patients. My 85 year old mother was there for almost two months after breaking her hip and the care was atrocious. When I asked about someone helping her and no one could help, I said that was ridiculous - the response was "this is a business." That answer came from the professional staff!! When it was time for our mother to be discharged from her local hospital into a rehab center following surgery for a broken hip, we were told by the hospital that all rehab facilities in the area had the same quality of care for rehabilitation. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Greenwich Woods which according to their on line description strives to rehabilitate patients to their maximum potential after surgery.
