My mom was a resident for 3 1/2 years in AL with her own apt. When she 1rst moved in staff was great, food was great, etc. She was happy. We were happy. But.....a few yrs ago there was change in management and boy was it noticeable...food became horrible....numerous staff changes....and from the top down (Lana) they are mean, hateful and rude to the elderly...the staff make fun of residents behind their backs, evening shift I'd more concerned with put them to bed early so they can sit in lobby on their phones and eat. GreenTree at Mt. Vernon, IL is a very quality assisted living facility that treats its residents with excellent care and compassion! Shirley Henderson and the rest of the staff go the extra mile in providing many fun and meaningful activities for the residents as well as transportation to various businesses in the local area. I highly recommend GreenTree to anyone interested in assisted living.

Greentree at Mt Vernon is a beautiful facility in our community. Great staff, clean, warm and welcoming. I’ve had the privilege to working with Shirley Henderson on some project in the community as well . She seems to truly love what she does and cares greatly for the folks living at GreenTree .They are also generous in helping in our community with other events and projects . I certainly would recommend letting my loved ones be cared for and live there.

I have worked closely with many residents and staff members at this community for over a year and can attest to the kindness, generosity, and care that they provide to seniors in this community. From start to finish, Shirley provides information needed with the decision-making process. It is a beautiful, well kept community and I enjoy going there!
