We just got our roof replaced and solar system installed by Greenlight Solar and Roofing. Our new roof looks wonderful and we're generating more power than we can use at the moment! Chris was great working with us throughout the project. We really appreciate working with an upstanding, responsible company and resulted in something we feel really good about. I'm recommending Greenlight to all my friends and family who are interested in solar or roof replacement.
Our job ended up far more complicated than anticipated — not for technical reasons, but because the City of Portland made it uncommonly difficult to get all the permitting with our historic district regulations. Chris put in a tremendous effort to get everything finalized, including redesigning the entire array, and in the end we were apparently one of the few such installations the city's ever approved. For all the extra work, they didn't charge a penny more, and now we've got beautiful solar working great.
We just got our first negative value electric bill. This is twice as exciting because we drive electric cars (one all electric and one plug in hybrid) so we seldom use any gasoline. I found Chis to be very easy to work with. All of the installers were great. Some were subcontractors and some were in house. All were knowledgeable and professional. Mason and GreenLight Solar have been very responsive to our needs and questions as we have had our system installed since December of 2015. They did a very thorough job installing all of the components and we are very pleased.
From the quote to the installation, Greenlight Solar was prompt, responsive, and fair priced. They continue to answer questions over a year from installation.

I went with GreenLight after interviewing 4 other companies. Why? They are cost comptetive and the sales guy David Wood was honest. If he didn't know the answer, he said so and reached out to someone who did. The installation staff was great, very little indication that they were there when the job was done (I found 3 or 4 1" long pieces of wire insulation in my rock garden, under the new connection box).
