Stopped in the Chestnut Hill shop tonight for the first time in a few years. My experience was very uncomfortable. I ultimately decided not to buy the black dress I wanted because I was seemingly being followed around the store by the sales clerk that failed to greet me when I walked in. Older lady with a bob haircut. Used to love this place, however, I won’t be back. Reminded me of that timeless Pretty Woman movie scene. Big mistake, as they say. Do better, you’re a thrift/resell shop. You should have more respect. Sheesh!
The best consignment store in Philly!
I don’t recommend for consignment. Commission is lower than market rate on the items they took, and the items they didn’t take were returned in crumpled balls to the point that several prices will need to be re-pressed. After all the high expectations for sellers on the website I expected a baseline respectful treatment of my pieces. Not a 2-way street.
