Bloomington's best kept secret! – I have been to several Green Mills in the twin cities but this one clearly impressed me, although I will say that it is difficult to find. Some friends and I decided to dine there before going over to the local playhouse and we all left very satisfied. The food was absolutely wonderful. Not the best Green Mill around – Went here for lunch and it wasn't too busy. The pasta dish was a bit overpriced and disgusting. Some kind of pesto/sun dried tomato/olive oil mess that had an overwhelmingly strong flavor. My date was happy with his pasta with cream sauce, so at least one of us enjoyed our meal. Also, the waitress took my plate right out from under me, as I was finishing off the last bite, which was very tactless and inconsiderate of her. Not a good lunch place – I attempted to go here for lunch with some co-workers. We called ahead and asked about reservations. They said you won't need them. When we arrived, we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was nowhere near full. When the pizza did arrive it was underbaked. Top that off with them giving us chilled plates to eat it off of and you have a wonderful example of what NOT TO DO. The staff was unapologetic for the slowness. Pleasant Atmosphere – Green Mill is always clean and cheery. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The food is absolutely fabulous. I always recommend it to my friends.
