The food was wonderful, even my non vegan family members enjoyed their meal a lot.
The best vegetarian restaurant I have ever visited. The taste combinations were delicious and service excelleny
excellent food! Thai curries were sensually made, clear taste of made from scratch not skimping on time, love or ingredients. Tempura (rough ride for take out option) survived 10min car trip and was not in a typical limp and greasy nick as most tempuras end up if not eaten right away. Very good food and witty, helpful pleasant and knowledgeable staff! Great spot for vegans!
Stopped by Green Elephant yesterday on my way to Portland Head Light and I can honestly say it was the BEST vegan meal I've ever had in my life. The Crispy Wonton appetizer was sensational and the Vietnamese Sandwich superb. I was impressed by the staff, decor, and presentation of each dish. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! I wish this restaurant was in every state so that everyone could discover how truly delicious healthy food can be.

Green Elephant is my absolute favorite restaurant in Portland! I have been frequenting the restaurant at least once/week since moving here 3 1/2 years ago. Everything I have eaten has been fabulous, but my favorites are the Brussels Sprouts, the Tofu Tikka Masala, and the Sorbet Trio for dessert. If you have never dined here, definitely give it a try!
