Great Northern Coffee is your favorite spot that you didn't even know about yet. Located outside of downtown Chico we pride ourselves on giving our customers high quality coffee and teas while providing a relaxing environment inside a 1947 Pullman traincar. The espresso is single origin, the coffee is french pressed, and we'll even make you a Blended White Mocha if you want a sweet treat.

I was there n June 2016 n the baristas were friendly n the coffee was awesome,so n August 2016 when I return to Texas I told friends & family they coffee was great than Star Bucks n they laugh...
What used to be Empire Coffee feels pretty much the same as it does as Great Northern, with a notable exception: they close at 5pm... what used to be the best study haven for college students in the evenings (I spent many evenings there gulping coffee and hitting the books till 9pm). Shame, seems like they are ignoring 4 really productive business hours by closing at 5. �
This is the only place in town I get my aztec mocha!
I am a confessed Chai addict. Great Northern knows how to do PERFECT Chai!
