Fish tacos were good, but shrimp tacos were even better! My wife loved the guacamole. Will go there again next time we are in Balboa.
Food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. Taco Tuesdays and Fridays are the bomb. I'm getting a breakfast burrito today and I'm sure it is to die for!!!!

We were strolling around Balboa once and asked someone for a recommendation on where to eat and we were steered to Great Mex. I feel like we were in the right place at the right time. Now we make a point to eat at Great Mex every year when we visit Newport Beach. We love it. The food is good, the service is fast and friendly and the price is right.
Thank goodness we learned of this place! We are from an area where we know excellent Mexican food and this place was a pleasant surprise! It truly was GREAT MEX. We highly recommend!
It was great food, service and not over priced like all the stores or restaurants in the area just because it's close to the beach...:)
