Have a few GEC knives and have been really impressed with the quality and variety. Currently have a #66 slim and a #15 single spear....but also have a #78 and a TC barlow coming in tomorrow. I think GEC offers the best value in a production slip joint and the blade steel is really great.
Best production old timey knives around! Great materials, great craftsmanship and unbelievable fit and finish. Love my #79 Workhorse, my #15 Radio Jack and especially my #71 Bullnose in nifebrite! Thanks for the sweet knives and keep em' coming!
I love everything about GEC knives except for the tight back springs. I own five different patterns and four of the five are tighter than a bear trap to open. To those of us who are advancing in years this makes them unusable (and yes, I'm aware of the EO models). I am extremely reluctant to buy any more GECs. Please listen!!
