I was here when I was 14 I’m now 21 so now I’m going to call this place out. when I was if staff helped me down and let two kids beat the shit out of me and then when the staff let me go I waited until they weren’t paying attention and I took the phone and called 911 and I called my sister and I report it and nothing happened. Also the same Company had another residential where it was a level five facility and two kids were able to kill another kid nothing happened until the FBI came in Places like this should not be open
This place has changed our lives. We had been in and out of short term admissions at the hospital for 6 months. We finally broke down and decided to try the residential option. When i say we were devastated and scared.. i truly mean that. But this place has poured into our daughter and after 2.5 months she is home! Greg Shank (her therapist) has made such an impact on her. KVC Springfield is amazing & I will be forever grateful. My young son had been hospitalized approximately 7 times for suicidal ideation & aggression, in a 10 month period. He was also suspended from school several times. At KVC, he received needed trauma therapy, kept up with his education (receiving quality 1 on 1 tutoring from a Springfield tutor, had access to quality nursing staff, and benifited from 24/7 empathic staff. i was admitted to KVC Missouri in august of last year. I discharged on November 27th 2024. I had a wonderful time, I was admitted to Bruemmer cottage but due to my age i was transferred to Guth cottage. The staff were always trying to do stuff with us for the most part we were always on our feet which was good because it made our stay there quicker. My stay here was miserable, it felt like jail to me. My case is through KVC's case management and so far, 95% of the case workers I've had don't do their job. Half of them don't answer texts or calls, which is literally their job. I have had a few good experiences here, most of the residential staff are good, I want to acknowledge the staff that did well by me.
