Nothing Spectacular here While the location is great and it is nice to be on the water, the restaurant itself is nothing to talk about. There are very tables along the water side of the restaurant so most likely you will not have any kind of view. The food is not all fresh, and if I wanted frozen fish i would have stayed home and cooked, Quite honestly, it was overpriced for the quality and the service was really terrible.
Hidden Gem The family and I stopped here this summer for the first time. If you're looking for fish and chips they have some of the best around! I'm glad we took a chance on this place and we'll be coming back next year!
Never again! Quality of the food is very disappointing. The red cabbage salad was oily with no flavor, the fish was not fresh (fishy tasting), the salmon was dry. Some of the baked potatoes were warmed over (yellow and solid inside). The rice had some hard crunchy grains in it. We have been going there for at least 15 years, and were always excited to go here, but this last time was a huge disappointment. We will never go back.
Great atmosphere Good food, mediocre service. Views are amazing! This is the restaurant we enjoy going to for the ambiance, not so much the food as it is inconsistent.
Great Chowder! I was craving clam chowder last trip to Morro Bay and took a chance on this place. I was very surprised at how delicious it was. The outside of the building isn't anything to rave over, but it is what is on the inside that will make me go back for more! The prices were awesome and the staff was great! If you are in town and looking for that yummy bowl of chowder, consider this place!!!
