I just left the building 20 minutes ago and I feel scammed. Mechanic (9DMV) comes in and says he recommends an engine flush because I've been slowly burning oil between changes and he notices some sludge. I ask for 5 minutes to comb over the info and make a decision. He returns, and after a bit of back and forth I ask to hold off on the flush until next time so I can investigate the issue more (I actually think it's a PCV valve issue). 15 minutes later I get the bill and it includes a $65.99 charge for an engine flush.
