Never buy wood from this company. I bought two face cord fireplace wood from this company. I called Tom the owner and asked him for seasoned good oak wood. He delivered the wood on Saturday and 95% of the wood were wet and covered with mud. I called Tom again and told him about the issue but he did not care and told me that he is going to call me back and it has been almost two weeks and no response from him.
Tom grays outdoor service is sloppy and unethical....I would never use them again. They charged us $2000 for a job that was probably worth $700 and I'm being generous. He said he was going to send 6 or 7 guys out and spend the day at our ... He sent 2 guys Out a and they were late coming out. They didn't get to about 3 areas in our yard that they were supposed to. Tom Gray of Grays Outdoor Services is one of the most unethical business men I have ever done business with. Same story as others here with deposits, and excuse after excuse with no shows. Took me for over $1,700.00. I do not recommend his company. He should be reported to BBB. I have taken his company to court and won but the problem is then getting the money out of him. He is a crook and a cheat. People that do business like he does should be prosecuted and put in jail.
Cannot say enough good things about Gray’s. Tom Gray and his crew were very friendly and did a fantastic job. I had a very large, dead maple in my backyard, pinned between my house and electrical wires. Fast quote and removal of the tree. Tom made sure to keep me informed everyday (due to the weather; snow and high winds) and to be sure I knew how they would be removing the tree. Even offered to leave some of the tree for firewood. Don't every use Gray's! They cam to put sod down in our front lawn, I followed their directions for watering only to have a completely brown lawn a month later. The followup has been weak at best, the only thing he has done is tell me its my fault that the sod dried up even though I followed his watering directions!
Tom Gray from Gray's Outdoor Services in Garden City is the most deceitful & unethical business I have ever dealt with! Living in an 8,000 sq ft home, we hired him to install a patio, along with outdoor fireplace. After taking well over $10,000, we are left with a less than half finished job! He claims that he is out of money and needs us to pay more, however his excuses never match up and this is only if we are lucky enough to hear back from him after leaving over 20 messages and threats!!!
