very enjoyable The food was delicious, the portions were large, the prices were good, the service was excellent--I really have no complaints. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good dinner for a good price.
Worst Time- Slow Service- Incorrectly cooked Steak – Service was slow..Had to ask twice for A-1 sauce..Asked for medium steak and it came out, to our table, well done and dry, and still no A-1 sauce. Waitress finally came by and asked how eveything was, and we told her about the steak and still no A-1 sauce. Steak came back, this time by one of the managers..Cut it opened, and it was raw. Awfui – Appetizer - Had the Ravioli Sampler. Meat ravioli OK, Spinach artichoke OK, nacho cheese? - not so much. Rolls - store-bought and dry - served with frozen butter. Dinner Salads - average at best Dinners had by those at table - Italian Sausage and Penne - Sausage good, LOTS of peppers, sauce HIGHLY acidic. Good food, but best outdoor?? – The last time I was at Grappa for dinner was over the summer, and like always, I was not disappointed. The wait staff was very nice and efficient, and the canneloni was incredible!! I tried "Grappa" for the first time, and though I felt like I was going to die after drinking it, our waitress took it off the bill since I, nor any human could really enjoy that stuff, whew!! Friendly – Grappa Grill has the most friendly staff around, always around for your needs and with a smile. The food here is very good as well. The have a pasta and salad special each day before 4pm. The Spring Salad with house dressing is fantastic. Rolls are always warm. They also have a lot of rooms available for meetings and private parties.
great patio – i love the patio there it is awsome and the ambience is great, dont expect fast service out there, just expect a great experience. this is by far the best patio i have ever sat on, i would recommend it to everyone.
The Man – The 16 oz. NY strip steak special for $9.99 can't be beat.
Really Neat – Last night my wife and I ate at Grappa Grill. I had the Salmon and Shrimp Streudle and it was unbelievable. The chef prepared a side of a potato crusted crabcake that was different and delicious. Talk about something different for St Charles. My wife had the lemon grouper and loved it. Grappa Grill is our favorite restaurant and we thought we should write about it.
