we loved it – Read the reviews on this site and was kind of turned off but the buffalo news food critic gave them a great review and I took a chance on this place. Great Visit We stopped into The Grapevine on the reccomendation of friends and definetly were not dissapointed. This is not a fancy restaurant its casual, has 5 fish tanks and one of them is very large with very cool fish. I have never been in a restaurant where everyone is so friendly! Go to the diner down the street! – I have been to the grapevine 3 times and all 3 times I was very disappointed. I thought the food was bland and of poor quality. I don't get what the deal is with this place,they are always busy. My parents have been given gift certificates for here and both times they have said the same thing.

Going Downhill – Well, I think we're losing what used to be a pretty good place to eat. The last 3 times we were in, over the last year, it was so humid and smelled so strong like dirty fish tanks, that the meal couldn't be enjoyed. The last time we asked to be seated in a room with no tanks and that was much better. From the Falls, but now live in Ohio. Always look forward to eating at the Grapevine when in the area. – The variety on the menu is amazing, and what is even more remarkable is that everything is delicious. The dilemma is deciding what to order. Great food and great atmosphere.
I don't know why this restaurant is listed under Italian, since it's most definitely American. That being said, it's very good, not great, though, in my opinion, but in terms of value, amazing (sorry, not awesome: that only refers to birth ,death, and sunrise and sunset.) . I don't currently live in Buffalo, but visit my mom a couple of times a year and we like to go here. Amazing aquariums throughout! Awesome fishpond outside! I had the create your own platter with Apple Almond Chicken & Baked Haddock and my wife had Basil crusted grouper, I dont know how they give you such great food for $12. There Chef makes the best Chocolate Peanutbutter pie I have ever had. Get there quick before everyone else finds out about it!!
